With the new US president Donald Trump what is going to happen between the US and North Korea. North Korea has been looking into nuclear programs and how to make nuclear bombs. They have made a bomb that will be able to go from North Korea to US. They have thought of using diplomacy to get N.Korea to stop with their nuclear programs but if that happens then the country will fall apart. I think Trump will address this a few months after he's in his presidency.

   In Turkey their president is trying to take more power. This would mean they will have a dictatorship. There has been a terroist  attack. In this attack 44 people were killed and 230 were injured. I think that with this any people disagreeing with the president they should hold an election/ choose a new leader. If there is a new leader what would that mean for turkey or other nations around it.

   Today 2/3 of the US have seen snow and record breaking low temperatures. Meteorologists call these long cold period of times polar vertex. All a polar vertex is, is a air mass. This weekend it is predicted to snow. I think its just going to be really cold and there may just be a wintery mix. If anything happens with school there most likely just going to be a early release if the wintery mix gets bad during the weekend.

   The US has accused Russia for hacking into our systems during the election. The problem is what would Russia's motive be. Some believe they put the poles in Donald trumps hands. My question is why are we just dealing with this now the election was in November. I think the US shouldn't do anything yet. They should watch the servers and watch out for hackers into their systems but if Russia tries to hack into systems again we should take action. we right now have no proof but if they wait until they try again we will.

    Sworm engineers are trying to work with robots. The study of nature and how animals fly in groups or make likes like ants. These are good for helping people get in tight spaces for search and rescue missions. They also could be good to get to natural disasters faster. They could even be used to check water supply levels. No ones ever done this so it'll be interesting to see how the use theses robots. It'd also be interesting to see if you could use it for military services.

   There's this new machine to help soccer players practice. The machine shoots a ball from one of 4 different slots and has grids on the "walls". Each grid box represents a goal which lights up to say shoot in it after the ball is released. You can choose the number of balls and the speed which the ball is released. The problem with this is each machine costs 2.4 million dollars. I think that someone will come up with a similar idea but it being much cheaper. I think the machine is a good idea because it allows players to play without having to have another person.

   Bioaluminecent lights are wanting to be used to light up the streets of Paris. The take a bacteria gene that produces light in an animal such as a lightning bug or squid. In my opinion this isn't going to work there are way to many problems. The light needs to be intensified the bacteria will only last 3 days and to start it you have toad the liquid solution that will react and produce the light. Also the cost of putting all the equipment in to hold the liquid will be a ton. Not only the equipment, but it will be really difficult to mass produce that many bacteria molecules for the city. I think this type of light should only be used in a house hold for a nightlight or for display.

   Everything now of days run off of the internet. The internet could be attacked anytime. There are many people trying to hack into security systems, social networks, and many other things. If were not careful and if we aren't watching out what we do on the internet and what other people are doing trying to spot hackers then the possibilities of what these hackers can do are endless. They could find out secret information. They could mess with the stock market which could lead to loses of hundreds of millions of dollars. The US needs to make sure they have the best and most secure devices they possibly can.

   The government has halted the Dakota pipeline project to look at alternatives. People have been camping on land near but not on the pathway of the pipe line. The group said their focus is not to stand in the way but raise awareness that if this pipeline is ran under the river it could pollute the water that 18 million people drink out of if it busts. I agree with the people on that point but the governments already spent the money. It would be ridiculous to have spent all of that money on nothing. someone should've thought about the pros and cons before the money was spent.

   North Korea is still continuing a nuclear program. North Korea's leader is still isn't listening to the UN, which says its illegal. China is on the UN's side. they are going to not give them coal to continue with their plan. If this happens North Korea will either stop or put more money into the program and if they do that where will they get that money. I don't really know what will happen because NK's leader is stubborn but he also doesn't want his country hurting.

   There is 108 billion dollars in student loan debts. Tax payers are going to have to pay for these student loan debt. These programs to help with the cost wasn't suppose to incline all this debt. These programs help students but is bad for the economy where tax payers money is being used for this and not schools, roads, or other things the US needs. If we keep on using their dollars for this people aren't going to like it. These programs will most likely be reconsidered and if not thrown out revised.

   Minimum wage workers are on a strike. They want minimum wage to be $15. If that happens the wage will be doubled. They're reasoning is people with low wages can barely feed their families with 7.50 an hour. I don't think this will effect the governments choice. If it does go up it won't double. I think the people with low pay jobs should've made better choices or go find a better job. the business's especially small ones will be hurt economically which would cut more jobs making instead of getting $7.50 an hour you'll get $0 an hour. People need to step back and realize what this will do to the economy.

   We rely on space for a ton of things. It helps our technology work properly. If something happened in space that could mess up our technology. The world would practically be paused and be chaotic with us relying on traffic lights, credit cards, and GPS. Us having all our things done through space could lead us having a space war. There is a space organization in the Air Force branch of the US military that watches and makes sure nothing like that is going to mess anything up. I think its a good thing we have a group like that because what would we do if we were cyber hacked or something?.

   A group has reinvented the design of a wheel. their wheel is called a soft wheel. The soft wheel began on wheel chairs, which is their biggest costumers. They also tested it on bikes. Their next goal is to put soft wheels on cars. The wheels are made for smoother rides. they also said the wheel can cut the price of cars. I think it'll be a while before seen on cars but when they are it'll be preferable.

   Black Friday is coming up and the past few years numbers have dropped of shoppers. There are sales going on way before black Friday now and there is cyber Monday. The way things are so easy to be gotten on the internet without having to go out and deal with the crowds of people is leading to Black Friday not being that big of deal. Some stores are closing to encourage workers and shoppers to spend time with their family. I think that's a good idea. I would hate to have to work on Thanksgiving.

   Japans prime minister came to the US to talk to Donald Trump. He wanted to talk to Trump about the trade between US and Japan. trump also mentioned he was going to withdraw US troops from Japan and also said the US can make their own nuclear power weapons to fight North Korea. I think if Donald trump thinks its hurting the US in more ways then benefitting and can do without them I think he will eliminate US and Japan relations. If he realizes we need them then he'll leave it alone. I also think as far as Japan thinking he said all this just to get elected I think the should have a bit more of concern.

   The keyboard is laid out in a odd order. The reason behind this layout goes back to when typewriters were made. The keys would get stuck when common letters were being used all together. The most used letters were scattered out making our keyboard look how it does today. I thought this was pretty interesting. I never knew why it was how it is. The Qwerty layout has stuck to how we make all keyboards from typewriters to laptops to cellphones.

   Visits to the movie theater has dropped over the years. A new idea on how to get people going to the movies a lot again is an experience called 4DX. 4DX is created to make the viewer feel like they're in the movie. I'm not sure this is gonna work because 1 ticket is predicted to be as much as $30. If they can figure out how to reduce the ticket price I think this idea will do really well. Each theater is gonna cost 2 million dollars to install a 4DX system. I think this would be a fun experience but I would much rather use $30 to do something besides watch a movie.

   What if something were to happen to the US during this transition time between presidents. Would the nation be secure? The nation's security positions should be appointed and also should be put in place to be getting use to it so that the nation is not left unable to protect itself from anything that could happen. These transitions need to go very quick and the president and his team needs to know what they are doing as soon as they get into office/ the position. I think we as a nation need to be on edge and plan for an expected attack. We need to have a plan to keep this nation safe during this time.

   This year there hasn't been any major tornadoes yet. November is when we expect tornadoes and most of them occur in late November so we need to beware of that. If you here a warning then you need to take cover. The drought that is occurring is keeping us from having any major storm. I think there may be one or 2 but won't be more then that. I also believe everyone should have a plan of what to do during a tornado.

   As Donald trump is elected our president this transition of presidents is going to have many changes. The relations of trade between Mexico and relations between Russia will we make them allies. Will we be a part of the battle taking place wit Isis. These are many things people are uncertain of. What will Trump do? As Americans, these are all things we need to pay close attention to. We also hope that this decision of president is a good choice for our country because now our country is in the hands of Donald Trump's decisions and thoughts.

   Donald Trump will be the next US President. He won NC, FL, OH and flipped 2 normally democratic states. Also the Senate and House of Rep. still remains in republican control. This will help Trump pass what he wants. I think that there will be many changes in the supreme court and with certain laws/regulations Obama put in place. All we know for now is America will change.

   Today is election day. There is a possibility of Donald Trump winning but this election is still in Hillary's favor. If Trump wins Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Florida then he could win. The popular vote is in Hillary's favor but it's really close. Hillary having 46% and Trump having 42%. I hope that Trump can come back tonight. This is one of the most heated elections ever. we'll find out who the next president will be tonight.

   Tomorrow is election day. This election is in Hillary Clinton's favor but Donald Trump is gaining momentum. Unexpected states are becoming battle ground states. Donald Trump still has a bit of a chance. Obviously Hillary doesn't have to work as hard to win. I think if Donald Trump tries really hard he has a chance of winning this election. The anticipation and predictions will end tomorrow night when we know who wins this election and who will be the next US President.

   The oil pipeline had an explosion earlier this week. It had a breakage in September. These accidents will make gas prices increase if isn't fixed soon. It's predicted to open back on Saturday but have ran into a few problems. I believe the government should find a better way to transport gasoline because this is the 2nd time in the past 3 months we've had to worry if we'll have gas or not. I believe this break in the pipeline will eventually get fixed but will take about a week or week and a half to finish fixing.

   Presidents are shooting for 270 votes from the electoral votes. The electoral college votes are there for the smaller states to hear their voices. I believe this is eliminating the power of the popular votes. If you have a faithless voter that could make a republican vote a state with a democratic vote. All  the power should be in all the people making whoever has the popular vote win. I believe they should eliminate this system but I also believe they should keep it how it is for this election. The election  is too close to make a major change; they should introduce this policy before the next election in 2020.

   In Japan, they are developing underground train stations the trains are traveling 300 mph and more.  To replace all the tracks and make all the trains fast and efficient it will cost 55 billion dollars. I think that this will be a nice way for transportation since there isn't enough room for buses and trains and large transportation vehicles. Japan should work with the money they have building a little at a time and eventually this cities will be transformed to using bullet trains. If this works well in Japan other countries will most likely catch on and use their idea for these trains.

   When astronauts get in space they use different muscles then when on earth. When you stay in space for months at a time muscles are going to loose complexity and get smaller. Your bones are also going to break down. I think that astronauts should team up with some one who can help them build a room in the space craft dedicated to using those muscles figuring out different equipment and techniques you can use to strengthen those muscles keeping them strong. They could also make a vitamin that'll keep muscles and bones stronger. If they are planning to send people to Mars they need to figure out all the health factors/risks before they send them.

   Senate and house of reps are getting new seats. 435 in House of Representatives and 34 in Senate. They are predicted to stay in republican favor. This maters when it comes to veto and overriding power. I think that if you have a democratic president and a republican majority vote the president won't have as much power and it'll be more of what the people want. It also will work the other way around, but if there is a republican president and republican popular vote the president will have more power.

   Last night was the last debate before the election. Hillary Clinton has got the popular vote but Donald Trump could still possibly win. In the debate they discussed the supreme court and economic stand points. Clinton wanted someone that'd push for women rights where as, Trump wants someone that's prolife. Clinton wants to equal men and women's pay and Trump discussed how he wanted to lower the national debt. I think this debate went better then the first. This will also have a large impact on the election.

   Final presidential debate is tonight. 1/3 of the Senate seats are up for grabs. The Senate is the most important because they approve the supreme court nominees and accept and turn away things. I think Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump could win. They both are hotheaded and would win if they can stay calm and collective. In my opinion it will be a lot of talking over each other and bickering.

   There is a heroin epidemic arising. Kirkwood High School has had many students die because of heroin overdoses. The school is looking for ways to prevent kids from trying heroin and if they are already on it how to help them stop. After a death in 2015, 80 students found help to try and quit. I think that they could have a seminar and raise awareness about heroin and the dangers but at the end of the day teens will do what they want. The main problem most likely is who is supervising them and how the teens are acquiring the money to buy the drugs.

   Illegal drug imports have increased in the US from Mexico. Drug cartels smuggle drugs through tunnels, by boat, and on land. Arresting people isn't going to help decrease the problem. As long as there is a demand there will be people that'll provide. We need to focus on educating people about the drugs and how addictive they are. In my opinion we will never get down to no drug smuggling because there will always be people to do what they want no matter the consequences. This is another challenge for our next US president.

   In Tokyo there are underground bike racks. 14% of the transportation in Tokyo is by bikes. It takes 8 seconds to retrieve the bike. these racks protect bikes from damage by weather, theft, or cluttering up the streets. In the US we don't use that many bikes for everyday purposes mostly because our streets aren't set up for them. Most of them do not have bike lanes. I think in big cities that they should create bike lanes and build these bike racks. In my opinion they would be very useful because you don't have to worry about locking your bike up or if its going to rain on it.

   There is a possibility of a new tax on sugary products and drinks. This is meant to make people buy less sugary drinks to lower the obesity rate. This could decrease or obesity rate but it could also hurt the economy by people loosing jobs, as happened in Mexico. I think Mexico should've put a lower tax on the drinks. 10% was too much and that's why so many jobs were lost. There should be around a 6% tax on the drinks if any because people are going to eat what they want. Just cutting out some sugars isn't going to help us more then it will hurt the US.

   A program was started by a race car driver called Driver's Edge. This program is targeted to teens to teach them how to drive in life taking situations. He wanted to do this because car accidents are the number 1 cause in teens. The situations he teaches them is skid control, breaking fast, and continuous lane changes in big cities. I think that Drivers Ed programs should teach kids what to do in extreme situations. At least they should have a course they can choose to take for a couple of days that'll teach them the basics on how to control the car from a collision or deathly crash. As a driver believe that this would be helpful for me to know.

   Hurricane Mathew is really close to hitting the coast of the United States. The hurricane was a category 3 when it hit the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas yesterday. There has been evacuations issued. Today Charleston, SC and tomorrow Myrtle Beach in SC. The hurricane is expected to stay off the coast but if it comes onto the coast we'll have much more destruction and people without homes. I think that if people evacuate and prepare homes that the damage will be little if the hurricane stays on track as predicted.

   Hillary Clinton and Donald trump are still close in the race through the peoples choice. Hillary Clinton has got a 5% lead on Trump. Hillary Clinton is predicted to win the Electoral votes unless Donald trump gets all the states he's got and he will have to swing quite a few others. As for the VP debates Trump's VP (Pence) was considered to win that vote. He was very calm and collective during the questions and answers. I think this may have a decent influence on Donald Trump coming back and winning this election. As for now it looks like Hillary Clinton may win.

   Modenna is the company that is leading these treatments. Some treatments were made hoping to cure "incurable" diseases. These treatments take outside mRNA and they have to figure out how to make a persons body accept it to make new protein molecules that were destroyed by the disease. Your body notices the foreign/outside DNA as viruses and turns them down. This I think is going to be the biggest challenge. They will have to figure out what the body will accept because every ones DNA is different so you can't make one "key" that's will fit all. this process will take many years and will have to be tested on people and then watch the effects of the people.

   In Houston Texas a lady has bought an apartment building. She has called the building "Turning Point". This is supposed to give homeless people ages 50-62 a place to live and a feel of accomplishment. Every person that lives there is required to do whatever they are able to do. Some tasks may be cook, clean, or maintain. This organization gives elder people hope for their future. Hopefully her generosity is adopted by other people around the US.

    There was a train crash in New Jersey. The train did not slow down properly when entering the station and collided into the end of the tunnel. Only one person was killed (a person on the platform) and around 100 injuries. This is not the first time the train has crashed, it had crashed in 2011. I think that the train station will try to open as quick as possible because about 15,000 people use the train station everyday. I think that the station should remain closed until they can figure out the problem and get it fixed properly; we were lucky this time that only 1 person was killed but if not fixed appropriately then maybe next time that number will be much greater.

   There is talk about trying to colonize Mars. It would take billions of dollars to send people up to Mars and it would cost $200,000 a person to go. The plan is in 8 years have people go and within 50-150 years have Mars colonized.This may be a good thing to do because humanity has a better chance of surviving if you have 2 planets than 1. I think the funding will be hard to do and there has been talk about this for a while now, so if I think they're going to do it yes; within the 8 years there will be at least an attempt. The government will have to be on board with it though.

   9 out of 10 people are exposed to pollution. In China around 1 million people die every year because of pollution. World wide, 3 million people die every year. Pollution is expected to be cut in half with our gas/fuel put outs by 2020. Not only is our air polluted by things we do like burning fossil fuels but can be polluted by dust storms in areas around deserts. In the US only about 36,000 people die every year, which is good compared to other areas. I think we need to start planning like they have ways to become eco friendly so that number doesn't change.

   The first presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. One of the topics that was discussed was National Security. Hillary Clinton wants to work more with the NATO. Donald Trump said that this plan has flaws because other countries aren't paying what they owe. The overall outcome of this debate would be close called because each candidate had an argument and each candidate showed some type of evidence in their argument. No matter who is president the US as of today will be changed for good or for bad.

   Wednesday there was chaos and now the protest has simmered down a little to a peaceful protest. This occurred after 44 arrests were made and a few people were injured. The video of what happened has been shown to the family and it will not be released to the public. Neither side has came to a conclusion. I think once the tape has been reviewed and processed by both sides determining what happened the riots will mostly stop. This weekend I hope the panthers will get to play but if the riots pick up again they won't. I don't think they will but you never know.

   In Charlotte, NC there has been 2 shootings by police officers of citizens. There have been riots. Roads have been closed down, windows have been broken out, and people protesting are everywhere. I think they should let people protest silently (because that is their right) as long as no violence occurs or laws are being broken. I also think that the police officers do not have anything to hide then they should release the video, and maybe the protesters will realize they are in the wrong. Unless something happens to change the protesters mind then I don't think this will die down for a few more weeks/maybe a month; but eventually it will.

   We are 5 days away from the first presidential debate. The presidents have to focus on the states with the most electoral college votes because those will persuade the winner. FL has 29 electoral votes. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are equally divided. There are 3 million people undecided. I think that this could go either way. In my opinion, I think Donald Trump should win.

   The UN is meeting in NY and with the terrorist group the security in NY is going to increase a lot. They arrested the guy held responsible for some of the bombs planted around NY. The guy shot 2 police when they figured out his location. Hopefully they will catch the other members of the small terrorist group. The guy arrested was not born here. Thinking about this maybe we should consider strickening our security on letting people in our country.

   There was a bomb planted in New Jersey during a 5k charity run. In New York there were 6 packages planted and one in a dumpster. They are determining if it was a terrorists attack. The terrorist group is taking responsibility but if they really are to be determined. I think the US needs to stricken security into our nation. I know this won't fix all of the problem but it'll eliminate how many people the terrorists have in our soil. I think this kind of stuff isn't going to just die out. Some form of action is gong to have to be required. the US also needs to make an example out of whoever did it (when found).

   We are now 2 months away from the election. The debates are becoming more personal about the candidate taking place not just across television. No 1 candidate has got more people that'll vote for them to know they'll win. Swinging states like Florida and Ohio. A large pressing issue that will most likely be discussed is if the US should allow refugees in and if they do how many. I think they should let some in but we can't have a ton of people because it will hurt the economy because we are just starting to rise in jobs. I also think that we need to consider the possibility of the people we let in that they could be terrorists.

   Uber has began experimenting with self-driving cars. They have got the technology and testing it out in Pittsburg. People are unsure about this because what if something goes wrong. Many problems occurred between Google and Apple while they were experimenting. I think that the technology on top of the car would mess up in bad weather. I also think you will always have people that would want them and people that wouldn't. In a way this could be good in the sense that drivers couldn't speed and there would be no drinking and driving. The negative side would be all the possibilities that the technology will cause like; if something happens while your driving or if the technology gets broken.

       The US and Russia came together to create a ceasefire in Syria. They need to have trust, leverage, and control (people giving it up) in order for the ceasefire to last. They need it so that aid groups could help the people that need it; bringing food and resources to those that need it. Terrorists could decide to interfere. If they do there's nothing anyone could do about it. For the innocent people in Syria I hope they don't until they can get enough to survive. I think unfortunately that the group will invade and break the ceasefire.

     Korea is building nuclear weapon. These could be the strongest/most dangerous weapons. They are thinking there will be a war between North and South Korea or they just want to be named as a super power. We may fix this by saying they are a super power. I think we just need to be cautious and not do anything to make them mad. For them to use their weapons on the US and I think we should be experimenting on our own (US and other targeted countries).

   The air quality of our atmosphere is polluted. The pollution of our air isn't just effecting our lungs but also could be effecting our brain. In the long run the result of it hurting our brain could be altimers disease. If your stalled on the highway then turn your car off; if you need to warm your car then turn it on only for a few minutes versus an hour. I think that eventually we will figure out ways to reduce the pollution but there is no way to get rid of it all. The earth will eventually be polluted to much if we don't do something about it.

   Flu season is arriving and doctors recommend getting the flu shot. The Flu Nasal spray is not as effective as it should be so doctors suggest not using it. The flu shot isn't going to work 100% because your body is basically creating a proper puzzle piece to cure the disease that is given in the shot. The shot gives you a dead virus that your body thinks is real so it'll try to fight it off and then will know if you get it what it'll have to do to get rid of it. If you do get the shot it'll help you not get it as long if you do happen to still get the Flu. I think that no shot will ever be perfect because as we keep getting the vaccination the virus will adapt and become resistant to what we are using (happening over a long period of time).

   A hurricane hit land in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and part of the North Carolina coast. There were 2 deaths; one was in North Carolina. The hurricane was only a category one so the damages weren't that bad. There was some flooding and the power was knocked out and some still is in places. I think the power will be fixed and the flooding will be controlled within the week. A positive side to this natural disaster would be that it wasn't stronger and the damages won't be too hard to fix.

   G20 economic summit started in 1999 and the meeting is held in China. G20 helps the world address  the economic crisis that are going on and how to handle them. Right now Brazil and Europe are experiencing major economic unstability. This meeting should pull other countries in to try and help them get stabilized. I think this group is good to have because it lets other countries know their not alone and that others will help them. I definatly think they will come up with some solution to help the countries with the most problems come to somewhat of a solution.

   In Brazil, the president was impeached due to her party members were using funds for their own uses. Brazil is gone into poverty and the president allowed this under her watch. They put it off while the Olympics were taking place but then impeached her with a majority to vote her off. A new president will replace her in hope to make the place better. I think that the new president seeing that she was impeached for messing up money will be very careful not to do so, which will eventually help stabilize the government. Leading Brazil out of poverty, but this will take over several of years to get back to where they should be.

   6 people are being tested in a "Mars" (in Hawaii) living situation. The are living in a small dome and can only eat dried packaged foods. They are tying to figure out how the new effects of living situations will have on us. How the limited electricity and  water able to be used will impact on people. I think they will eventually send people to mars. I also think that they can't know 100% what to prepare for so they will have an unexpected problem occur.

   The last time we've had a major hurricane was 2011/2012. Every time we go without a hurricane the likely hood of having one be destructive increases. To prepare for a hurricane coming you should have a gallon of water a day saved. You should also have enough food for everyone in your family and batteries. I predict that there will be a storm but I don't think there will be one soon. Its late August we and I think there is a more likely hood of having one in August of next year.

   In Amatrice Italy, there was a 6.2 magnitude earthquake. 281 people have been announced dead so far and many historic building fell. Italy responded to this natural disaster by sending in 6,600 rescue teams which included national forces. the US would have gone through a series of stages, sending local, state, then national. I think that they will find more bodies and will be able to rebuild this city. I also think this will give America a chance to see how to improve their reaction time a little better to national disasters.
